SO YA!

hmm school has been far from okay so far with all the academic, council and wushu stuff and guess what comps is in less than a month! GG. so i must really really get right and get back! truthfully speaking, i have never enjoyed wushu and given it so much enthusiasm and concern till like now. uh regrets!

and oh ya my table mate in chin so yeah we dont alot of funny stuff in class. (its her, not me!) hahaha like critique jilaoshi's red hot heels, talk about the dubious relationship between dearest mr mac and mr jones and have a good laugh altogether with the JW (jingwen!) and the cheery gang behind us. (shucks is this sentence too long? recently mrs ting have commented on my long and too-many-ideas-strung-into-one sentence. quite depressing yeah, must add oil for english! i thought it was only my chinese which cmi! oh greattt ): )

yeah so the languages arent nice to me this year and so i got to do something! like proofread my work before i hand in. reduce all the grammars and errors in sentence structure!

math's a... hmm 80% grueling subject. practices and concepts! but ms Li taught it well! at least i understand some parts and is able to get on with lesson most of the time. SORRY I'M NOT A BRIGHT STUDENT!

council is a bit more relaxed for senior term yeah, and thank God my juniors are rather cooperative and nice ^^ batch 09 and 10! (:

actually what pastor said today made a lot of sense. well he always makes sense but this time i can relate to it! well, talking about prayer, i think i have taken it as a ritual rather than a relationship. always skipping prayer after reading a chapter of the bible, promising to pray in the morning but always fail to. how does God feel? i've never thought about that.

more often than not i think about how life sucks and why am i even doing all this. i feel desolated, unloved, so alone. but doesnt God feel worse? i think this is the way he is trying to get across to me, letting me know how it feels when i neglect God in my life. he feels even worse. i am his child, and HE IS MY FATHER.

and personally i dont think crying is wrong. its just a relief in itself. dont lie and say none of you cry at night in your pillows. i do. i cry over small stuff, big stuff, and just cry myself to sleep. but of course nowadays i'm soooo tired i just hit the sack. CRY TO HIM, CRY TO GOD. once, i felt really depressed and cried to him, telling him how i felt. its like a child crying to his father. HE IS MY COMFORTER.

and its not just crying, even sharing deepest, (darkest) secrets, well he already knows them all, but this sharing further strengthens the bond. everytihng under the sun. and theres this verse in the bible which says sth like he stores your tears in a bottle. does he not know your misery and fears? HE IS MY BEST FRIEND.

i think its a good way to start the day off by greeting our father in heaven, by praying for a good day, or rather, a day, good or bad, just one in which his presence wil be greatly felt.i plug into the christian songs in my playlists, esp amazing grace which reminds me of how i am saved and bondage/worries-free and 'who am i' by casting crowns. it gets me a little more optimistic while coping with the monday blues.

so i shall, and i am going to, take this seriously, and re-evaluate my priorities again. HE SHOULD BE THE FOCUS OF EVERYTHING I DO.

woohooo although i miss China like alot alot i think 3 months of missing singapore, my friends and family outweighs it all.

ashley and stacia stayed overnight, and in the morning we went to woodlands for food sampling and ordered snacks oh did i type this in already?

anyway, then after that went vivo for lunch and shopped at esprit, apparently aunt dorothy got 40% discount yeah but i did no purchase. then finally we made a trip to the airport to pick josh, rachel and the others up, hahha a lot of jokes retold.

SECOND DAY OF RETURN

sunday! church day! went to the doctor's in the morning and got 5 day MC. got welcomed by them in church and yay got a box of danish cookies from emilia ;] so sweet thankyou!! :D after that we did caroling practice, which was fun but rather tiring. uh and lastly we went to j8 for dinner and haagen daaz fondue! yum yum.

which is today, yeah, basically the routine stuff. woke up at 8 plus, ate breakfast and started math. stayed at home the whole day, and slept afternoon nap for awhile.
missed council camp and chalet ;[ maybe going to send rachel for tuition afterwards at TLL while doing math AGAIN. cant seem to figure the last part out though. whoa, brain degradation.

got to go to grandma's for dinner like now, but yeah oh well. missed her food!

yeah today is the day.

actually was rather busy the last few days thats why cant go online and stuf, but luckily research materials were done. ;] had a farewell by xinghai school, and it was rather informal, but yeah we put in effort in preparing and memorising lyrics. okay, only i had to memorise. deprived childhood la, dont even know the lyrics to chan mali chan and geylang sipaku geylang. oh and we learnt the chorus for 'all for one' yeah and i screwed the 'singapore town' song. tripped and whoa embarassing! ;[

and hahah wangwang biaobai-ed! hahah super funy, i was instigating him to get her number and email and home number and everything. he seems rather serious so he asked her too. cool huh and like whatever. he bought 1 cup of milk tea for tc and none for me although we're in the same class, so obvious right. wapiang ;[ angryyy hahaha jk, its really super funny. ya lah i understand la.

hmm what else, i loaded 38kg up the plane ;] and no fine needed. the guy handling our check-in is nice lor! max 20kg leh, if i really got fined, whoa, international flight some more, sure burn my whole pocket instead of just a small hole. wont even have enough to pay. THANK GOD! its stupid la, checking in food, boxes of instant noodles, 17packets of pocky (all going to josh ;D) and yeah other foooodies and bags and stuff. managed to check in 3 baggages. cool man, and gave the counter guy the last keychain i had. also bought a panda keychain for joanne's birthday, although its ages ago. xp

ahahah cant seem to sign in to msn though. hmm.

;[ unable to use the lab on weekends boohoohoo. So research and collection of articles for syllabus reading was late by a day and replaced by reminder and factor theorem self-study.

I don’t like self-studies. Don’t really see the point since teachers are going to go through the topic again, but yeah I agree it helps. Okay actually I see the point xp

Weekends were cool and fun! Really loved it :D

Went to 2 of the ever famous suzhou gardens (wangshiyuan and zhuozhengyuan), suzhou museum, embroidery and handicrafts research center etc. Was quite amazed by the architectural ability and the overall picture feel. ;] especially with the streams and fake mountains or whatever they call it really pretty! The suzhou museum was also designed intricately by this renowned chinese architect which is rather unique, incorporated some modernity too ;]

The trip to the mega supermarket really really made my day. Gosh this is stupid but still xd bought a lot a lot of food, 特产 and stuff. 154.50rmb spent, 2 big bags lugged back to the hostel, whoa. Felt really really satisfied, finally bought some food for the darlings back home. But I still got to make another trip again! Got to stock up on pocky omg the whole world is suddenly so in love china has pocky of flavours you’ll never ever thought of! I am so going to clear the whole shelf and bring back one of each flavour for Josh maybe. Hahahha yay!!!!!

And the three little devils are going ga-ga over zhengyuanchang this afternoon and for all time which I don’t understand why ;[ although I must admit hes rather cute ;] but very very da pai ;[ ewwww. Hes got some charm there though. But watching ezuoju isn’t really my cup of tea oops…did math instead ;]

CURRENTLY: MAKING GOOD USE OF 1.5HOURS OF LIMITED INTERNET/COM ACCESS

Hello I know what you’re going to say.
Haven’t been updating yeah but still ;]

Got a lot of happenings recently, I mean like going nanjing then here in suzhou.

Suzhou industrial park is our current location which was built to resemble Singapore’s HDB and housing estates in certain likeness. Yeah and they did a pretty good job. Missed home much more.

Yesterday was granny’s birthday and was a little emo cos I was unable to be present and wish dearest granny happy birthday in person. And there is no place I can get my suzhou phone card！；[ went to the china mobile place and was supposed to show passports to purchase a card?! Like huh?! Jilaoshi got one for 85rmb with 50rmb value only and additional reductions in amounts due to random postings.

And I am super amazed at the variety of cute fonts in the computer! And the rather fast internet ;] yeah makes the super slow ebuddy work a tad faster.

And class 5 is super 热情 can! Yay cute class and the class joker sits right behind me, and looks a lot like yizhe for some reason!

Hmm what else.

DAD AND MOM:
Due to the unfortunate location of the hostel phone and my dormitory, which is rather far, please call me at my hostel phone eh every two days? Why not call me on every Monday and Friday? Email me though :D

I WILL BE ONLINE ON EBUDDY EVERYDAY (I think, maybe jilaoshi wont allow everyday access boohoo) FROM 1800 TO 1930! Actually timing isn’t confirmed, but well yesterday was 7.00—8.30pm. oh whatever just around there la.

never would i imagine the days in bsc would be gone like that, in a flash.

cold hard wooden bunks, oily disgusting canteen food, cold and windy mornings.

well on the surface life wasnt that good in bsc, as i would have expected. awkward local immersions, zapping and mind-boggling chinese lessons.

but these arent the crux of the issue. it is the details which matter.

sleeping together in a bunk with 4 other crazy people.
getting high in the midst of high pressure and great stress the night before the chinese test.
caring for each other when a situation happens.
going for breakfast and lamenting about the chilly and unbearable weather.
our usual night snacks, the aroma of our sweet sinful pleasure.
noisy and rowdy dorms at midnight still.
waking up late and rushing for school.
sitting by corridors looking dejected and pathetic holding metal containers filled with piping hot porridge and buns.
mad and crazy shopping at xidan, zoo plaza, xiushuijie during weekends after church.
steaming hot pumpkin porridge and pumpkin biscuits at hongjuangyuan.
the ever famous peking roast duck.

hostel life.
school life.
EFZ life.

all but a figment in my memory now.

sad to leave, and even more depressing to remember. all we have and share, like washing powder, have been dissolved in the pool of soiled clothings and dirty water.

key event of the day: IH test ;[ had the eoy paper to do and oh well wasted all my efforts of preparing the essay, in the end the tchrs kindly agreed to let us bring in back to sg and hand in next year. yay, and on the overall the sbq was easy but due to lack of time question comprehensions werent done well and hence resulted in much confusion and complexity while answering the four questions. only answered the similarity part for the comparison question. 6marks. but nvm, at least earned 1-2marks, and the rest were done, although not properly but the best i could. so, satisfied.

I AM GOING TO MISS MASS EXERCISE! its already the last lesson ;[ and thanks to xiaogui i have realised quite a pro guy who doesnt his exercises properly. then we were standing behind him, easier to follow. yay mass exercise rocks, its super fun haha.

WUSHU ROCKED TODAY.

we had the same coach yay, the previous one only made us do PT. at least the one today was professional, and quite cool, i think we liked it better :D yes wushu pwns.

CURRENTLY: 处于半睡半醒的状态

The morning call was set at 6.30am today and I lazed in bed for around half an hour? Up for breakfast, then we proceeded on to Beijing university ( peking university) for 2 lectures, a hour and a half each, for which I slept soundly through the journey there ;[ was unpleasantly woken up by uneven roads and bumps along the way, also by the tour guide’s amplified voice. ;[ but the first lecture was interesting, good insights and evocative, as compared to the second, which was presented in a rather economical way (dry) by the use of statistics, plain and boring backgrounds and huge chunks of unprocessed (by us) information, and also a rather uninteresting speaker and topic. Oops, but really the response for the first lecture was way way way better, and questions, regarding or not regarding the topic, were bombarded at the professor nevertheless.

The second lecture was quite dry and information points weren’t that concise and clearly presented, therefore when less interactive. We all have to agree more or less that shopping in the afternoon was what motivated us to hang on in the last few minutes of the lecture. Oops but I didn’t sleep! ;] slept, unintentionally, at 10.40pm last night, super tired after bible reading (15chapters) and was supposed to go online to settle random stuff, and also to finish up my survey. (heh heh I finished it now and I got back from zhenglaoshi’s room, got to handcopy the surveys on paper argh -.-)

Ohno I spent 105rmb today! ;[ 40rmb on my scarf, 50rmb on 5cosmetic pouches for aunts and 15rmb on grandma’s bigger size cosmetic pouch its really pretty and hey yunxin we make a good pair! LETS SHOP TOGETHER ALWAYS ;DD with chinz and shu-t. must control ah!

Anyway tomorrow is going to be a tiring day, but still looking forward to tomorrow night’s meeting with some business men in china from Singapore, interactions and lectures and stuff. Ahaha should be fun I guess.

kudos to shuting ;] for transfering christian songs eg by casting crowns gosh they rock ;] and got to rmb my adapter and charger is with her. ;]

bought gelato today, although i know i arent supposed to but its italian ice-cream so should be fine? idk la once in a blueee moon ;] 18rmb, extra 3rmb for the choc-nut cone -.- and another notebook for notes when reading bible. aha i have decided to finish reading the bible by the end of this year,and due to calculation errors, it ends on 30dec instead of 12 dec, math really failed.anyway, 15chaptersx80days ;] quite 'xiong' but nevermind :D and phone only has christian music, deleted all the rest ;]

okay i guess i got to sleep soon if not i can stay in shandong forever and miss the plane to beijing. okay God bless! ;D

Hahahah was emo for the day, but still tried my best to learn and take down notes, and if not for the internet and my limited access with the world, 我早就崩溃了;[ the internet almost died until camelia called operations to fix it, three cheers to cam! ;]

:D today we went to Shanghai Art museum to seek inspiration ;] waited and queued for 30min plus to get in and being naughty girls as we are, we blocked people from cutting queues and tried all sorts of methods hahah at least they budged. I told them that the queue is at the back. Ohgosh I am becoming a shrew.

Reminds me of today’s dinner. Pissed man. We obviously ordered the smaller set and pointed specifically to it and they charged us the bigger set and in the end after much brawling between the staff and shuting and I we were given 10% off. No satisfying enough. But at least they apologized la…feels unwelcomed here. People on the street don’t even want to help when we ask for directions like come on do we look like some funny salesperson trying to sell stuff, at least hear us out. ;[ in the end had to approach an angmoh for directions. Foreigners approaching foreigners for directions in a foreign land. COOL (pun intended).

Anyway enough of steaming off and today was a good day ;] although museum wasn’t my cup of tea, and it was super packed, lunch was goooood, ate 2 bowls, but they were relatively bigger than the bowls served at the restaurants. TOMATO CHICKEN IN A HOTPOT or whatever they call it xd quite yummy and we caught some scenes of unintended boy-gawking by heh heh heh. And gosh I didn’t know that yimeng and eh-who-is-the-other-one-i-forgot-who were 花痴 hahahah gawking at Japanese guys. Yimeng’s original target was ahem -.- and wangyue and I but suggested another one, which was nicer looking but yeah. Tsk tsk whats getting to us (excld me I still v guai ahahaha)!

The last visit was to the former residences/residential areas of famous authors eg 鲁迅 and the whole street was quite quiet and old, compared to nanjinglu, and for that we ran through the streets shouting 请让，对不起！like a whole bunch of teenagers, and I wont be surprised if the passers-by thought we stole something from some store, which will NEVER be the case. Fun…anyway the old street was vintageeee man, and the ‘old café’ was really cool too, v romantic. And the shti-sters suggested for jaychou to film mvs here as a gimmick to popularize this culture-rich street, and for government support and advertisement etc I LOVE THAT PLACE ;]

then went full-force shopping at malls hahaha then shuting walk untill feet pain..me too ;[ and arrived earlier by 20min for fear of getting scolded ;[ wa we so good sia.

then back at the hotel cam and regina and wangyue..asked for stomach pills i think stomach upset again;[ maybe its the food ;[ i ate mostly rice so should be fine, didnt take alot of dishes.heyhey you all mustnt fall sick okay! we still got a long long way! ;D

okay i shall narrate today's events all the way from daybreak so as to minimize confusion, since Regina has kindly let me use the internet till 10:30 ;D

daybreak. breakfast. then crossed the highly impregnable tar-bound road. was introduced to buddy yiqin, from eh class 3? shes 15 too but considered JC1, pri sch 5yrs, sec 3 yrs for chinese.tingchih and i were together.

timetable:(surprisingly the lessons were super short, like half a period only) physics, english, math, PE, lunch, *basketball match*, IT, PE modular sports, chinese

all in chinese fyi, had a hard time decoding and translating technical terms in physics, IT yeah, math the students did their exam, we were given the script, v short leh but havent learn the topic. its probability i think. but yimeng (from sg) said that their seniors 2 yrs older than them are learning trigo and functions and whatnot, which is what we are learning right now. ironical isnt it?

yay basketball match. funnnnn. not that there were shuaiges, but the spirit and atmosphere was good,all the girls were there, the guys playing, and yay form 3 was hyper, but in the end still lost to the opponent class ;[ but overall you guys played well! better than sg guys -.- it sounds mean but even normal students from china form classes are taller and bigger in size, so probably play better. ;] more interactive too i guess, they will auto come up to us and ask us if we're going for PE and whatnot.oh well maybe because tingchih is beside me. hahaha the girls are super sociable and humourous!;D oh so i know yiqin crushes on 2 guys, maybe not to that extent, but yeah we were teasing her all the way, perhaps only me, tingchih is demure and gentle ahaha ;D

lessons ended, went to library for a short while (no aircon and was lethargic) so went back to hostel to washing clothes. virtuous ;D please. first time, and i didnt know why after adding the washing powder bubbles didnt form. too much water D: washed undergarments and 1top + 1bottom (jeans-super hard to dry, from afternoon till now still wet)

so yeah did random stuff till went for dinner and came back, showed linlaoshi the proposal and survey, but idea approved only.format needs editting. D: LATER ;] hahaha i'm so loving it ;D

but missing home gosh. i cried loads yesterday.was at shanghai shucheng (book city???) a book shop, and all were chinese books. okay this may sound lame,but in my context of being alone, i really felt lost in the sea of chinese books, felt stressed cos dont know what to buy, and the others were snapping books whenever they went. felt empty. knowledge wise and emotionally. so i cried lor.first cry was at the place we bought the phone cards, missed home too much i guess. but i called home, and was reassured ;]

God works in our lives, everyday, and every event is for a purpose, we may not know, but he keeps trying.

like what he did for me, never giving up making me feel his presence and reassurance. and after yesterday's incident (not convenient to say) i realised i'm alone, all alone, and i got to protect myself, and others.

let God bless all our families, and friends, and his holy sanctuary, that we may feel his truth, and live out the faith.

i miss home, i miss singapore, i miss my family, i miss my church, i miss my friends.
i cried for you rachel.

but im fine now, and i hope you are too, dont miss me too much, although i will miss you.study hard for the exams, and get online if you can, but if you cant then its okay, and i dont think we can call too, maybe i'll sms you.

but life feels so different without you, we quarrel, and its always me i guess, i'm so sorry, and i miss you alot. dont cry, and i wont too.i will upload pictures, and you see me ahaha but please take care of yourself too, i am worried about you. you can call me if you want, but mobile's no longer in use. i emailed you. eh during IT lesson just now. dont worry too much and dont miss me too much okay? i will be fine so you better be too, i want to see you soon! and dad and mom i said whatever i wanted in the phone already.yay you guys must take care so i wont worry, i know it sounds wrong but probably cos i didnt see you all so i dont know hows life like there.

went to coro with chinwen and gladys.finally found a suitable printing shop for our bsp booklets ;] $3.20 each, with coil binder whatever you call it and clear plastic sheets and hard cover (chinwen insisted on it being orange -.- okay not bad a colour) and the first one we went charged $8 with the same quantity and quality we required.what a big difference.and on the way we 'stumbled' upon a sweet shop! selling candies chocolates and chocolate bouquets!ingenious! :D then gladys and chinwen went to J8, meeting xiaoen later, then i went back to school.bag v heavy ah, i diligently brought bio 5yr series, bio tb which weighs a ton in my bag.shoulders ache.

okay i think i shall go do work! mom's coming at 6, then we go out to buy souvenirs for the students in China oh wheeeeeee going chinatown.busy place.bustling centre.oh what should i buy. ;[

so i actually managed to complete LA compre ;] and chem exercises.
CA2 was comparably worse than CA1, and just got 'sicko' back, failed for not CR-ing to the movie argh so wasted ;[ hahaha got spare time now, left trigo III notes at home D: must go home do supp ex.

and photocopy the math exam papers.got to borrow the booklets now, before its too late ;[ library closes at 1830. and its 1823 now.
